CHRIS PINE MAKES A CASE FOR BEING THE BEST CHRIS WITH A TRIP TO LANGER’S DELI

Chris Pine has great taste in pastrami and is making a case for himself as the best Chris. Langer’s Deli shared a photo of the actor rocking some tiny red shorts at the longtime Westlake sandwich spot. While many celebrities have been spotted at the more upscale Sushi Park, Pine is a man of the people. Hope he ordered a Number 19 sandwich.

This isn’t the first time Pine has been spotted around town. The often reclusive star has been regularly seen at Los Feliz’s Skylight Books showing off his most recent purchases.

A chef’s Korean fried chicken in Silver Lake

Acclaimed chef Debbie Lee’s forthcoming Korean fried chicken restaurant, Yi Cha, is opening in the former Bar Maruno space until it moves to its own storefront in Highland Park this summer. Yi Cha is set to be open in Silver Lake every Friday night with no end date currently scheduled. The menu will consist of Korean pub food, including Korean fried chicken, karaage, Korean nachos, banchan, and more. The dishes will be available a la carte or as a “mukbang” combo meal. In Korean, yi cha means second round and is often used to refer to the second stop on a night out or going for another round.

Just next door, Lee is also running Joseon out of the former Causita space. In contrast to Yi Cha’s gastropub cuisine, Joseon serves tasting menus inspired by Joseon dynasty royal court dining dating back to 1392.

Yi Cha opens at 3705 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90026, every Friday night at 5 p.m. for walk-ins only. In addition to the chicken and sides, beer will be available.
